Occupational Therapy
Committed to Supporting the Whole Family
|
Life is made up of “occupations” or daily life activities. For children and families, these include playing, learning, socializing, feeding, dressing, toileting, and bathing. Occupational Therapists help children and their families become more independent with each of these tasks. OT's also assist with development of sensory processing and emotional regulation.
The goal of Occupational Therapy is to help the child reach goals and open up new possibilities by strengthening academic, play, and social-emotional skills, and improving behavior and sensory processing.
